It is Windows Genuine Advantages message from Microsoft. A message that always appear when the computer log on. Don't like it? How to remove it?
These are some steps to remove the message.
- Log in as Administrator.
- Turn off the "Windows Automatic Update",
- (Start -> right click My Computer -> Properties -> Automatic Update.
- Unchecked "Automatic Update (Recomended)"
- Check "Turn Off Automatic Updates"
- Open "Task Manager" by pressing [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Del] in the same time.
- In "Processes" tab, find "wgatray.exe", then click "End Process"
- Restart the computer, and choose "Safe Mode" by pressing "F8" in booting time.
- Find and delete this file "wgatray.exe" in C:\Windows\System32\
- Go to "Regedit", Start -> Run -> type regedit
- Find and delete "wgalogon" folder in
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
WindowsNT\Current_Version\Winlogon\Notify".
- Restart your computer, and now you can use the Windows XP as usual.
